I am Daisy,

the new addition to the family!


Baby Daisy:
I was born on May 13, 1997 in a tiny town in Holland, at 3:30 am. I was the last of the litter to pop out, exactly one half hour after my siblings. I was born to a beautiful stray, gray cyprus cat who was just over 1 yr old. I had 2 brothers and 2 sisters who were all about twice my size. One of my brothers was all black, the other one was a really dark cyprus with black and dark gray and four white shoes. My 2 sisters were light grey cyprus and one had a little bit of white in her. And then there was me! I was the one they just dropped the paint bucket on. I'm sort of a striped Calico.
Every day people would come around and play with the 5 of us, and pet us and stuff, but I noticed that everybody was always more interested in my siblings. I guess nobody really liked me. My mother once told me that we would all find new homes with good people and that we had to look cute and be nice to the humans so that they would take us away. I also overheard that all of my siblings had already found new homes and that within 1 or 2 weeks they would all be taken away. I was a little sad that none had picked me yet, but I was still hopeful.
Then, on Friday, July 18th, at 8:30 pm, while I was taking a nice nap and curled up with all my siblings, I saw them. My mommy and daddy, I knew that right away. I could tell. They were standing over us and looked at us. I never once took my eyes off them, and I didn't want to sleep anymore either. I just wanted them to take me with them ... and they did.

My New Home:
My new Mommy and Daddy took me home to a really nice house, and right away I began to explore my new surroundings. The only thing that I didn't like at all was that my Mommy and Daddy gave me a bath. I was really flea infested and they were trying to get them off me so that I wouldn't itch so much. Sometimes they would put some really stinky stuff on my furr, but it really helped cause after two days I wasn't itching anymore. They also weighed me and said that I weighed 600 grams.

The Pumi-Catz:
I soon met the Pumi-Catz! First I met Pumi. He sniffed me and growled and gave me a hard smack upside the head, but as soon as he noticed that I was way to tiny to be a threat for him he accepted me. He actually really likes me now cause I never finish my bowl of kitten food and then he gets to eat the rest of it. He accepted me pretty quickly and I think he really likes me now. Susi wasn't so enthusiastic. The first time she saw me she attacked me with such a horrible growl which startled and scared me to much that I flew a whole meter backwards. At first she always hit me and attacked me, but now she's accepted me as well. I just can't get too close, otherwise I get a slap upside my head. Hexe was different. Hexe was really scared of me and always ran away. Then she got sort of used to me, but she growled and hissed so much that she became all hoarse. I soon figured out that Hexe never hits me, so of course I started running after her, playing with her, and chasing her tale. She is so scared of me and always runs away which makes the chasing game a lot more fun for me. But I think that she really likes me, cause every once in a while she brings me a mouse, puts it in the garden, and then let's me play with it and pretend that I caught it. I really love my new home!

My Habits:
I pretty much sleep all through the night on mommy's or daddy's neck. When I get hungry somewhere around 5:30 am or 6:00 am, I either suck on my mommy's eyelid, or I lick her nose and eyes and cheeks. Most of the time she gets up and feeds me. But sometimes she just ignores me, and then I go over and lick daddy. He really hates it cause my tounge is so rough, so he always gets up and gives me food. I also like to sleep underneath the blanket.
Now I can proudly say, that I am one of The Pumi-Catz!!!



My Duties Around the House:
Chasing and Annoying Hexe!
Taking lot's of long Naps!
Being Cute!
Attacking and Biting everything which is larger than I!
...Such as feet, legs, arms, shoulders, etc...



My Favorite Foods:
"Magnum" Ice Cream!
